An audience is any individual or group of people who receive, consume, or interact with a piece of communication, performance, or art. When crafting a message or performance, creators typically navigate three layers of listeners:
Primary Audience: The exact group of people you intend to reach and influence.
Secondary Audience: People who aren’t the main targets but can reasonably be expected to see the message (e.g., a boss CC’d on an email).
