DiskInternals Outlook Recovery is a specialized software tool designed to restore lost, deleted, or corrupted email data. Whether you accidentally emptied your Deleted Items folder, suffered a hard drive crash, or faced a corrupted PST/OST file, this tool can rebuild your Outlook database.

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough on how to use DiskInternals Outlook Recovery to get your essential communications back. Step 1: Download and Install the Software Visit the official DiskInternals website. Download the Outlook Recovery installer. Run the setup file and follow the on-screen prompts.

Important: Do not install the software on the same drive where your lost Outlook data was stored. This prevents overwriting the deleted files. Step 2: Launch the Recovery Wizard Open DiskInternals Outlook Recovery.

The Outlook Recovery Wizard will launch automatically to guide you through the process. Click Next. Choose your recovery mode:

Recover Mail from a Disk: Use this if your hard drive crashed or files were deleted.

Repair an Existing Profile: Use this if Outlook won’t open or throws error messages. Step 3: Select the Storage Location

Select the specific drive, partition, or folder where your Outlook data files (.pst or .ost) were located.

If you are unsure, select the entire C: drive, as Outlook typically stores data in the user’s AppData folder. Click Next to initiate the scanning process. Step 4: Scan and Preview Recovered Items

The software will scan the selected drive for recoverable email databases.

Once the scan completes, a directory tree will appear on the left.

Click through the folders (Inbox, Sent Items, Contacts) to preview individual emails, attachments, and notes. The preview feature works even in the free trial version, allowing you to verify that your data is intact before committing to a recovery. Step 5: Save Your Recovered Data

Select the checkboxes next to the emails, folders, or entire PST files you wish to restore. Click the Recovery button on the top toolbar.

Choose a destination path to save the files. Always save them to an external drive or a different partition than the source drive. Click Next to finalize the export. Step 6: Import the Restored Files Back into Outlook Open Microsoft Outlook. Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export. Select Import from another program or file and click Next. Choose Outlook Data File (.pst).

Browse to the location where DiskInternals saved your recovered file, select it, and complete the wizard. Your data will now appear in your active Outlook profile. To help tailor this guide further, let me know:
